Nancy had an excellent Christmas - receiving an array of most excellent guftlies from all you fine people as well as Father Christmas (who even had the decency to send a letter to Nancy that buttresses his own existence). She spent time in Denmark enhancing her ability to spot embarrassing things - being in a dansk bike with her family, dancing with her family and singing with her family in a dansk bike - whilst struggling to throw off her own embarrassment costing her a good time. It's very complicated.
Beyond Christmas jolliness, she was very chuffed to have done the most homework in her class in the last term (a photo below shows her most excellent representation of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, which features real sweets) for which she received a special award, she made a cake so amazing it won a prize in a category established only after they saw the cake. It was a special menorah cake - and as a result the whole school got an assembly on Jewish traditions. That i was responsible for helping Nancy decorate the cake made me feel especially proud.
Alas, there is no school report from the last term to update you on her progress, but last week she successfully managed to near as damn it spell quiddity and turquoise as part of a random paternal spelling test designed to keep her on her toes in the global race. She also continues to really love chess - exchanging open gambits with father Christmas and thinking carefully about the transition into the end game.
She's ace.
