Capital of Suriname

Like an ambassador handing out Ferrero Roche at party we are spoiling you with yet more Brechtian [if you like epic theatre, lego and history this link is just for you] action.

Here is bertie being quizzed by her Parrpa about South American capitals. Sadly for her Pater, he managed to get the questions wrong both times he asked it and in the process rather robbed Bertie of her chance to shine. Never mind - he is no Sandi Toksvig. Alas, my incompetence (let us remove the comforting anonymity of the third person) was rendered irrelevant by the sprandling joy of Bertando Brecht. She is we have recently learnt as tall as the average miners tunnel in a Victorian coal mine (no wonder George Orwell got backache) - with thanks to non-Godder Harriet for this. By way of comparison her mother is the height of the average indonesian pygmy and her father is as tall as a baby giraffe.

She is still resisting the roll - with a commitment that is heartening. Instead she continues to perfect humble sit - rarely now does chud meet the ground in an unchoreographed flop - and is getting to learn that Parimaribo (does any other word rhyme with Haribo as well?) is the capital of Suriname and that there is British Protectorate called Shag Rock; both of which will make her an asset in pub quizzes of the future. God bless that little Bertie. Sadly she has been laid low by a cold but in spite of that she remains utterly cracking although her sleeping routine is all a bit too similar to the Deer Hunter , although Maddy and I have not yet taken to wearing red bandanas. Her menu has also widened to include celeriac, lentils, organic chicken, foie gras and red peppers. It's grim up north London.

And hopefully with this post and the spurt of interest that brings we will explode pass 2000 hits and have garnered views from across the globe, most of which we can identify after a degree of menticide; although God knows who we know in Taiwan or Russia. Who are you? If you are a far flung relative and/or want to be Bertie's anonymous petrodollar benefactor then get in touch with my peeps. Given the her royal rotundity is only 177 days old so this humble load of nonsense gets over ten hits per day which is endearing and I sure Bertie is touched that so many people have admired her in all her glory. In fact all we need is someone from Africa to log on and Bertie will have becharmed every continent on earth. If I was of a certain type I would say something profound like about globalisation and the internet ("Dude your pole is long" et cetera) but I'm not so I won't.
