Stop the press. Stop whatever it is you're doing. Stop it all. Bertie has learnt to smile. This means any hope of her having a stern father, which was slim to begin with, has all but evaporated. Blast. She is now eight weeks old and is rather delightful most of the time. As to her weight we can only speculate but we don't think she is struggling to feed.
Prepare to coo like melting butter.
